Air Tightness Testing

HIBEC LTD have been testing domestic property air tightness since 2005, prior to the introduction of the latest Building Regulations that make it mandatory.

We are BRSIA trained and test to the TM32 standard required in the building regulations using UKAS calibrated test equipment.

We charge by the half day, testing up to three dwellings, or up to a maximum of six dwellings per full day.

We can also pre-test buildings, enabling builders to establish leak paths using smoke. This allows a builder to try new techniques or test workmanship standards without damage.

We can issue test certificates on site as we test, assuming the client knows the target result from the 'as designed' SAP calculation.

When HIBEC Ltd have also undertaken the SAP calculation then the Energy Performance Certificate can be available within 2 working days after the air test if required.
